Presentation Design (and Annual Report)
Disciplines: Presentation Design, Brand Refresh, Annual Report Design, Branding
Role: Designer, Art Direction
I worked with  Accelerate Change, a nonprofit organization that focuses on improving civic engagement with BIPOC communities through digital media.
Among the various projects I worked on, I was also in charge of redesigning numerous internal slide decks (which led to a brand refresh), creating brand new presentation templates for internal use, designing funder decks, and creating a multi-page annual report.
Presentation Design
I was tasked with redesigning and overhauling multiple slide decks and presentations, including funder decks used to secure funding for the organization.
The organization wanted to move away from the standard "left-right" layout typically found on presentation slides, so I focused on creating dynamic layouts and using graphics, abstract elements, icons, moving GIFs, and Video to create an exciting experience.
A big part of the work was transforming how they displayed information, while making it more fun and exciting. My primary goal was to find more innovative ways to display information while maintaining clarity and organization.

From Standard > To Dynamic
Throughout my design process, I explored various concepts, layouts, and designs, and then I presented the final layouts that worked best and had the key attributes of:
• readability
• clarity
• well-organized information
• the ability to keep people engaged with the content
In my designs, I found new ways to showcase their media partners, case studies, data, numbers, and stats, as well as display screenshots from their social media partner videos. A big part of their work is through digital media (social media labs), so screenshots and visuals are very important!
To achieve this goal, I used colors, graphics, and layouts to make their designs more colorful, fun, bold, and exciting.
Creating Presentation Templates
Accelerate Change was in need of updated templates for internal and public-facing use.
The organization utilizes a lot of presentations and slide decks for internal use, but also for their main goal of getting funding. As a nonprofit organization, funding is very important. So I prioritized making sure the information, data, stats, and numbers were presented clearly.
I was tasked with designing 6 different template designs: 2 fun designs, 2 standard designs, and 2 funder decks.
Each presentation template included over 25 page templates that could be updated for different uses, including: heavy text, lists, columns, image-focused, graphs, data, comparison charts, section title pages, case studies, steps/processes, and contact pages, as well as separate sections for assets and images that they can easily access. Variety was the goal. With multiple versions of each type of template, there was a template for any need; any use.
My goal was to create a streamlined process for their team to easily access and update templates, while ensuring they had variety, they were easy to use, and could fit any use.
I wanted to make sure there was a cohesive concept for each deck, not just random graphics. So each template had a theme.
The themes:
Fun templates: Retro Browser and Y2K pixel
Standard templates: Hopeful Forward Progression and Classic/Trustworthy
Funder deck templates (also added more data slides): Folder/Finance Portfolio and Digital Data
Annual Report
The 2024 Annual Report design. 40+ pages of highlighting and showcasing their real-world impact.
What started as a text-only Google Doc, became a dynamic, visually impactful design. I designed Accelerate Change's 2024 annual report, which included information about the company, the team members, their work, their methodology, their partners, and media campaigns.
I decided to focus on fun, dynamic graphics and photos of people making real change happen. Since so much of their work involves real humans, I wanted to make sure the annual report reflected that and showcased the people that their work impacts. The vibe I was going for was hopeful, productive, and forward-thinking with great impact.

In addition to that, my design work on these presentations led to a brand refresh of their other branded documents and social media graphics.
